KUALA LUMPUR: Viva Palestina Malaysia (VPM) chairman Datuk Adnan Mohd Tahir died of a heart attack at Pantai Hospital in Bangsar here early Saturday. He was 58.
Adnan, who was also OrphanCARE president, was taken to the hospital after he fell unconscious in the bathroom of his house in Lorong Limau Kasturi, Bangsar.
"His wife found him unconscious in their bathroom at 2.30 am and rushed him to the hospital," VPM deputy chairman Siti Jamilah Sheikh Abdullah told Bernama when contacted.
Adnan's wife Datin Elya Lim Abdullah and their three children were with him when he breathed his last.
Siti Jamilah said Adnan would be laid to rest at the Bukit Kiara Muslim cemetery after Zohor prayers Saturday.
"He was a very hard-working man and was nice to everybody. His death is a big loss for all of us," she said.
Adnan's son, Adli, 29, said the family was shocked over the death.
"It happened all of a sudden. We never expected him to suffer a heart attack," he said.
