It is the third consecutive Twestival in KL and will bring together fans of social networks and micro-blogging service for a good cause.
It would be held at Finnegan’s Irish Pubs & Restaurants, Mid Valley Megamall from 7.30pm on March 24. Tickets are available for a minimum donation of RM35.
Organised by volunteers, Twestival KL will raise money for Pertubuhan Masyarakat Prihatin (Prihatin), an organisation that seeks to care for single mothers and children living with AIDS/HIV.

To liven up the event, local comedian Kuah Jenhan and Malaysian indie darling Liyana Fizi will be entertaining the crowd with their performances.
As 100% of the funds collected will go to Prihatin, Twestival KL has relied upon charitable companies to make the event a success. Sponsors include Finnegan’s Irish Pubs & Restaurants, Tiger Beer, Yeo’s Malaysia, Text 100 Malaysia, CzipLee, Golden Screen Cinemas, Time Out Magazine, Starbucks Malaysia, DiGi Telecommunications, AForRadio, Expo Digital Sdn Bhd, Original Bootcamp Malaysia, STUFF Magazine, Advanced Aquatics, Norton by Symantec, BMW Malaysia, BlackBerry, Visual Story Enterprise, Damansara Village Steamboat Restaurant, DavidClicks, and Sony Music Entertainment Malaysia.
Organisers hoped to raise RM12,000 in cash for Prihatin and the Multimedia Development Corporation has come on board and pledged to match ticket sales up to RM5,000.
Twestival will also be hosted simultaneously in two other states in Malaysia — Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and Penang — to raise funds for the local charity organisations of their choice.
The first Twestival in Malaysia was held on September 12, 2009, where more than 200 participants came together and raised over RM11,000 for Destiny Starting Point.
In 2010, Twestival Global was held in March 2010, raising RM3,000 in Kuala Lumpur, which contributed to the pool of more than US$450,000 which was raised worldwide.
