Bank Rakyat gives RM50,000

SUNGAI PETANI: Bank Rakyat Bhd brought early Hari Raya cheer for 500 underprivileged children from the Kuala Muda district by handing out RM50,000.

Its northern region chief Ahmad Mazlan A. Manaf said the donation would be distributed to 100 primary and secondary schools through the Kuala Muda district education office.

"The needy are always on our mind and it is our duty to give back to society," said Ahmad after breaking fast here recently.

He said the bank also contributed RM2,000 to the surau in Kampung Bendang Dalam, Merbok. By Juliany Ahmad Nizam
