‘Marsha didn’t overdose on pills’

PETALING JAYA: A close friend of singer Marsha Milan Londoh has denied that the Akademi Fantasia 3 contestant collapsed after overdosing on pills.

Afeeq Abdul Wahab, 25, said Marsha was rushed to the University Malaya Medical Centre on Wednesday morning after she collapsed in her condominium at Old Klang Road here.

“I was told that before Marsha collapsed, she was out buying food nearby and met with a small accident.

“It caused her to suffer some bruising and injuries to her forehead and eyes,” he said.

Afeeq said Marsha was still able to drive home but fainted while heading to her unit after parking her car.

“Marsha was suffering from low blood pressure,” he said when contacted by mStar Online yesterday.

The singer, from Tamparuli, Sabah, had been reported to have collapsed at her home after swallowing 30 pills.

She is now receiving treatment at the trauma and emergency ward and is still not able to receive visitors.

However, Afeeq denied that the 28-year-old wanted to commit suicide as reported.

“That report about her is wrong as Marsha is not the type who would try to take her own life,” he said.

Afeeq said he met Marsha yesterday morning and doctors had asked her to rest.

“Once she has recovered from the trauma, she will hold a press conference to explain the issue,” he said.
