Skim Prihatin : How to apply (for WP KL residents only)

KUALA LUMPUR:The Skim Prihatin introduced last year is aimed at easing the financial burden of a poor family when its income-earning family member dies.

Under the scheme, the family of the registered member will receive RM2,500 to be used for the deceased's funeral expenses.

Those aged between 21 and 75 are eligible to register for the scheme with a minimal payment of a RM5 lifetime fee. Applicants must be residents in the Federal Territories and be a registered voter.

Up to two beneficiaries can be named to claim the allocation.

Applicants must submit two passport-sized photographs, a certified copy of their identity card, a certified copy of the electricity, water, assessment, Astro and other utility bills to apply for the scheme.

The registration and application forms should be forwarded to the foundation's representative.
