p/s : What happened to the policeman(s), afraid??? or don't know what to do?
IPOH: A policeman made a city council worker, who found a World War II bomb, take the explosive back to the site where he discovered it.
K. Balachandran, 40, said he and four other colleagues were cleaning drains along Laluan Klebang Jaya 25, Chemor, near here when he stumbled upon the bomb at 4.15pm yesterday.
“I placed it in a plastic bag and headed to the Chemor police station on my motorcycle with the intention of handing the bomb over to them,” he said.
“However, when I reached the station, the policeman told me to take it back to the site where I found it.”
Balachandran said this was the first time he had stumbled upon a bomb in his 17 years of service with the Ipoh City Council.
“Normally I only find identity cards, which I will hand over to the police,” he said.
At press time, the Perak state contingent’s bomb disposal unit was at the scene to detonate the bomb, said to be 0.3m in length.
