KANGAR: Catching shrimps at canals when the tide is low was just a hobby for Mahazan Abd Rahim, 19, while waiting for a permanent job.
But that has turned out to be his "permanent job" after his catch earns him RM60 a day.
Mahazan started catching shrimps in Kampung Alor Redis last December and could catch about 15kg of shrimps a day during the low tide.
Mahazan who left school two years ago earns a decent living selling his catch at the market.
