Retiree heads for London on solo bike expedition

ADNAN Osman is a retired teacher, aged 69. However, instead of relaxing, he is venturing on a 10-month solo cycling expedition to raise funds for the Malaysian AIDS Foundation.
  Come Sept 25, Adnan will start his mission to cycle about 20,000km to be part of next year’s Olympics in London.

The Olympics, the biggest multi-sports games in the world, will be held in London from July 27 to Aug 12.

The expedition will take him to 13 countries including Thailand, China, India, Pakistan, Iran, Greece and France before setting foot in London.
