KUALA LUMPUR: A weak 3.3-magnitude earthquake was detected near Lahad Datu in Sabah, at 3.43pm Wednesday, the Malaysian Meteorological Department said.
The epicentre was located 79km southwest of the town.
Slight tremors might have been felt in several areas in the district and in nearby Tawau, the statement added. - Bernama
