Southbound buses now operating at Bandar Tasik Selatan

Bandar Tasik Selatan Integrated Transport Terminal for southbound operated
BUKIT JALIL: Effective today, the temporary bus terminal at Bukit Jalil saw its operations officially cut in half, as the southbound express bus services began their operations at the spanking new Integrated South-Bandar Tasik Selatan Transport Terminal (TBS-BTS).

The Malay Mail visited the Bukit Jalil terminal this morning and discovered at least half of the counters empty — all complying with the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) deadline yesterday, to move to the new terminal.

Meanwhile, it was business as usual for other bus operators plying the north-bound routes. They too will have to move, once renovation works at the Puduraya bus terminal is completed next month.

“Our buses going to Malacca, Johor Baru and Singapore have all moved to Bandar Tasik Selatan,” said a bus operator, who declined to be named.

“We still continue to operate here for our northbound routes.”

A counter personnel for Mara express buses said they started operations at the new terminal as early as Jan 15.

Naturally, adjustment issues due to the relocation are expected. Albert Wong, operator for S&S International Express, expressed his unhappiness over the move.

“We have shifted premises too often, and it’s confusing customers. As a result, we have lost quite a few,” said Wong, who continues to operate his stall at Bukit Jalil for northbound buses.
